Hallie Dootle Franklin DOB 8/28/2008
I sure couldn't replace Callie Dootle Franklin, But as a dog lover I knew I had plenty of love in my heart to love another furever furry little friend. Thus the quest to find the perfect little one began. It was very stressful trying to find the perfect match for the adoption, I found Hallie Franklin in the Thrifty Nickel newspaper. She is a 10 week old black pekapoo. Callie was shipoo, So off to Plain Dealing 2 weeks ago Jim and I adventured to pick up our unseen baby girl. She stole our heart from the first glimpse. We were on a mission, and after seeing the many puppies for sale, we knew we had to take her home and away from this puppy farm! I would have loved to have taken them all! She's been home with us for 2 weeks now, she is adapting well, and full of energy and kisses and lots and lots of LOVE. She is cutting teeth and loves to chew everything in sight. :( But Jim and I will get through these few hard months and enjoy the many, many love filled future ones. We are blessed, and Callie will be for ever missed! She has left her paw print on our hearts and now frolicks in heaven with Ace, Shasta, and Bambi!

Lucy,
I stumbled across your Blog. Congratulations on your adoption & I am sorry for your loss of Callie. Been there, many times. I was Blessed to grow up with pets and was fortunate to be able to have them for our family as well. Although we have lost several (I seem to be a pet magnet and ours live forever. April-17yrs, Tanda-18 years, Eastwood-16, as well as my gentle giant Bruno that we only had 8 yrs. This is just a few). Regardless, we always provided a loving home for our furry family members and they were as much a part of our lives as imaginable. My girls grew up understanding love and life better because of them.
I agree that one can not possible "replace" another, but the love in my heart, runith over and their are so many out there to rescue.
Come visit my blog some time and you can read about my family (furry & not). Just click on my name.
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving.
