2 Point Snacks From Hungry Girl

Survival Strategies

1. 94% Fat Free Popcorn Mini Bags
Not only do these taste great, they're filling and fun to—and they smell so good everyone around you will be totally envious of your snack! (Typically these have a POINTS® value of 1.)

2. 100-Calorie Packs
There are about a bazillion options to choose from these days. Try not to go overboard with these snacks, but they're fantastic to have around when you need something sweet and/or salty/crunchy. Some of my personal favorite 100-calorie packs are the Lorna Doones, Oreo Thin Crisps, Cheetos Asteroids, Chocolate Animal Crackers, and Sun Chips. Mmmmm! (Most have a POINTS value of 2.)

3. Fiber One Chewy Bars
These things rule! I think they taste better than candy bars, and they have just 130 to 140 calories and they're packed with 9 grams of fiber (for a POINTS value of 2 or 3).

4. Jerky Snacks
Because I'm such a protein freak, I love to snack on jerky. My new favorite dried meats are the snack sticks over at silvercreekspecialtymeats.com. They're awesome, each stick has about 50 calories and is low in fat (has a POINTS value of 1).

5. Sugar-Free Ice Pops
Hardly anyone thinks to toss some of these into the freezer at work. They're fun, low in calories and great for kicking a sweets craving to the curb.

6. Fresh Fruits and Veggies
No list would be complete without the obvious. Fruits and veggies are always a good snack. Always. Don't underestimate the power of baby carrots, friends.

7. Low-Calorie Canned Soups
It might seem weird to you, but I love to snack on soup. These days I'm obsessed with Progresso Light's Southwestern-Style Vegetable. A serving has just 60 calories (for a POINTS value 0), but I down the entire 120-calorie can, which still has just a POINTS value of 2.

8. Light String Cheese
String cheese is easy. It's portable, low in calories, and satisfying (typically the light ones have about 50 calories for a POINTS value 1). It's also fun to eat (pull it apart, or bite right in). Yay!
